Spend time off the beaten path in France. Spectacular drives, Alpine day hikes and charming hilltop villages awaits you.

Day 1: Bonjour! Welcome to Nice, the capital of the French Rivieria. Upon arrival at the airport, a rental car will be ready for pick up. Nice is a small and easy airport to maneuver and the one hour drive to a medieval hilltop village is an easy one.

Day 2: Wake up feeling refreshed and rested. Relax and take in the view for the first French breakfast of vacation.

An itinerary will be provided for a day of hiking in The Alps. The alpine portion of the GR5 long distance European hiking trail crosses through the village. Experience the sheer beauty of Alpine slopes flanked by snow-covered mountains, and highlighted by the the charm of a flowering French village.

Wind down at the end of the day by the pool or with a game of ping pong and dinner.

Day 3 & 4: It’s time to leave and journey to another quaint village off the beaten path. The drive to your chalet is just over an hour and located on the edge of a national park. Walk the village, relax on the chalet’s scenic deck and explore the trails beyond….. (*lodging option available)

Day 5 & 6: Today begins a drive through Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Along every winding mountainside drive there are numerous medieval villages, weekly markets and scenic adventures in route to your next destination.

After a full day of exploring picturesque villages, wine tasting and delicious French cuisine, discover the intimate and authentic setting of your new accommodations. The hotel provides a perfect base from which to discover the beauty of the upper Var region in Provence.

As you wander the narrow cobblestone streets, history and beauty are magically intertwined. Day 7: Say good bye to Southern France. The airport is an hour drive from the hotel. It’s time to start planning your next French adventure.
